Does your office accept my insurance?

A:  Most insurance companies cover physical therapy. If there is no coverage we have very affordable cash fees and      payment plans if needed.

Do I need a physician referral?

A:  Most insurance companies do require a referral from your physician.  However, Colorado is a direct access state and you can seek Physical Therapy Services without seeing your doctor.

What do I bring to my first visit?

A:  For your first appointment you should bring your insurance card, photo ID, your doctor’s orders and protocols (if applicable), a list of your medications, and relevant medical history.  If your insurance requires a co-payment you will need to bring that as well.  If you have a deductible some providers may require a payment at the time of treatment.

What do I wear?

A:  You should wear comfortable clothes that are not restrictive to movement and closed toe shoes like sneakers.

How long is each visit?

A:  The amount of time needed depends on the type of therapy involved. For example, it may take one patient longer to complete their therapeutic exercises than another. Also, as a patient makes progress, their treatment plan is adjusted.

How often do I come for treatment?

A:  Many times your doctor will prescribe how often and/or how long you should receive physical therapy. Occasionally, insurance companies dictate this. But mostly your therapist will predict how often and how long you may need physical therapy based on the findings at your initial evaluation.
